As metropolitan Melbourne moves into the strongest form of lockdown, please remember that even though you may not have previously been eligible for Jobkeeper – there is still time.
Businesses may potentially be able to enrol and be eligible if their turnover for the month of August or September is expected to be down by 30% or more.
The Jobkeeper would be paid in respect of eligible employees as of the 1st July (full time, part time and casuals who have worked longer than 12 months) up to the end of September.
The federal government has announced an extension for Jobkeeper, which may be further extended in light of the situation in Melbourne. We urge all potential businesses to consider their eligibility and get in contact with our office.
